Disaster for Somali families as income from livestock sales expected to halve in coming months


MOGADISHU, 12 April 2021 – Millions of children and their families in Somalia will be left without enough food to eat as crop and vegetable production is expected to drop by 75-80 percent this season[i] and income from livestock sales, the basis of survival for many Somali families, is expected to drop by up to 55 percent, Save the Children said today.
